Like most things in life, quality costs money and paint jobs can run run from a few hundred to thousands. Just depends on how far you want to go. Automotive paint supplies continue to skyrocket in costs. Depending on the condition of the car (rust, body damage ect.), a decent job will run a couple grand or more. Any good quality body shop will be able get the right color mixed up.

Costs are really going up. If you go with PPG or similar, materials alone will cost over $1k. I good quality paint job will cost $3k-5k and sometimes more if there is a bunch of rust repair.

Trust me I know, two paint jobs in 2 years. My thread explains.

You can buy the paint at your local auto paint supply store. They can mix it for you and tell you what system would be best.

Also for filler buy evercoat. Evercoat

For masking tape the best is the 3M yellow. Get a high quality sand paper as well.

I can vouch for this, PPG paints to re spray my engine bay and hood underside cost me little under 400 bucks.
