Socket for plugs?

Hi folks,

Need to buy a socket for changing plugs on the 7, does anyone know off the top off their head if I am going to need that special thin wall socket Racing Beat sells to get the NGK BR8EQ-14's in my GSL-SE? Or can I use a regular plug socket? Plugs and wires are on order, I have been trying to figure this out from other threads but couldn't find anything definitive. I don't have a grinder to grind down a regular socket, so if I need it, I am just going to order the racing beat socket unless someone knows a cheaper off the shelf alternative.

Thanks!

BR8EQ14's have a longer body and don't need the socket. You're golden with your standard 13/16th plug socket.

A friend of mine bought those $5 eBay NGK's, and they tuned out to be the short grip plugs. Took an old socket to the bench grinder and made my own thinwall socket.. Worked fine, just takes some practice and patience at the grinder.

Now he's run off with it. Oh well.

Thankyou very much for using a socket. Some people (im not being mean) decide not to use there socket at first. This can lead to "how do i get my plugs out threads".lol
