So what all is involved for front suspension

Well I have just finished installing my rear suspension (tokico blues (hp's), racing beat springs) and now I am going to be installing my front's.

So in order to take the old strut and spring out I need to remove the whole mounting hub? Heh its no big deal really, its not like I don't know how to do it (im becoming a mechanic so I know this stuff) but I honestly don't have all the REAL tools at home.. I take it I will need to repack the wheel bearings (duh, if I got to remove the hub) and then get a spring compressor? Will a u bolt type spring compressor do the trick? Any suggestions?

And what about tips for installing my front Racing beat sway bar? Damn it would be way better if I had a impact...

And then after all this I need to get the car aligned anyways? Very tempting just to take it in even though I could do it myself...

I never remove the hubs when replacing springs/shockies. The only reason to do it is it make the struts easier to handle.

hmmm interesting, removing the hubs is what the haynes manual recommended but as I have already found out with the rears, its not always the easiest way. How then do you remove them? Loosen the bolts in the engine bay, and push the old strut spring out?

Easy, take the caliper off and unbolt the strut from the knuckle arm and body. Then you just pry the control arm down and the strut comes straight out.
