I was snooping around at one of my local junkyards and ran into a 1994 ish mustang with a 5.0. Being in its rightful home i decided not to even consider saving it. The rear however is an 8.8 with disc brakes. For $300 bucks is this a good deal? Is it the right swap for my 1982 gsl? I want to put a cosmo in her so i need the diff. I don't know how much longer the car will be there so, a little feedback asap would be appreciated Thanks guys

do a gtu rear end with miata innards

 

Either of those options (miata and GTU) are IRS and would require major fabrication.
