So this car has a holley conversion

Its the same as the racing beat one but it is the base holley model not the one tuned for rotary.

Anyway its says on this racing beat site that the thing is not intented for stock exhaust/catalytic converter, but guess what I have. Is this going to be a problem/ should I try to get a different carb kit. The car is daily driven and must be legal, I doubt removing the cat will be a good thing.

This carb has to go anyway, it was heavily "modded" aka ruined by the previous owner, but I dont really want to have to buy a new intake mani.

and on the side, does the holley carb come with a vacuum connection for the timing advance/tranny? I can't tell on this one, he sawed everything off and plugged it all with screws so he could close two barrels of the carb to save gas lol.

Is this an automatic that needs a vacuum source ? You don't need the vacuum advance, but it can make it more drivable.

If this holley is not a RB prepared one then your looking at a lot of work to get it working right plus it sounds like the PO futsed it up real good anyway. Since you have the a stock exhaust you might want to get a stock intake and the stock nikki carb to go with it. You'll have all the vacuum ports you need then. Set it up like the rats nest has been removed (see the FAQ) and you should be on your way to a drivable car.

BTW, if the air pump isn't hooked up or working then your cats are probably not working or are fried by now.
