Be on aim tonight so we can talk. I think i'm just as excited about this beast being fired up as you zac. I'd rather see a holley on there but that weber should still make it fly. Don't forget to take some vids of the first drive.

ok well terrible news hahaha, the ******* battery exploded!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!! i had to take alot of downtime and get acid off me and spray the engine bay down real good. soooo, when it dried (1am) we threw a decent battery in there and i dont think it had enough cold cranking amps, i dunno. how do you weber guys start your car? 1 pump then key? turn key, while pumping? cause i pumped it, it almost caught the first shot, then sounded like it was flooded. fuel pressure is at 3psi at the moment. i'm too tired to keep messing with it tonight and after work i'm getting a brand new optima battery. but any info from you weber guys would help. thanks!

when its cold out I usually give it 2 pumps of gas and push the gas pedal in a little bit when it starts to catch... i guess, i dunno, you just get a feel for it, but when it starts to catch give it some gas, it works for me

mine starts on the first try every time

yea when it runs right. it's wierd right now. it cranks right the hell up but idles like a bridgeport. i'm pretty damn sure i have a sick *** vaccum leak. so i'm messing with a couple of the gaskets later today. we'll see if that doesnt change anything. it has ALOT of fuel smoke from running rich as hell, also of which i am working on correcting. anywho, by the end of today i hope to have it hitting a couple lb's of boost safely. woooot! then we'll have vids!

k, well... i pulled the carb off and replaced the main gasket between it and the manifold cause i found out the first one was leaking bad (DOH!) and redid a couple lines just to be sure they don't leak on me. reset the timing again and tried to crank the beast. nope, fired up but revved slower than all hellllll!!!!! soooo, robert and i have decided that it could be 180 degrees off OR when it was rebuilt they put the main pulley on wrong. i'll find out tomorrow as i went to a big rx7 meet and didnt get to finish messing with mine. WOO!!! oh and uhhhh... bridgeports with 60-1 turbos on them PWN ME!!!!!!!!!!!

IF it isn't 180 out then you could have the leading/trailing ignitor to coil wiring mixed up.

Hurry up and get that bitch running zac.

well, ran in to a couple little snags today, but got them sorted out. it refuses to fire up tho, because the damn main pulley is on wrong (i guess from the rebuild?, i dunno) so therefore i can not for the life of me get the timing right. it was throwing out the LOUDEST GUNSHOT BACKFIRES i have ever ****** heard. the pulley is off and i'm putting back on tomorrow after work and then resetting the timing. hopefully, that is the last of my worries
