slave cylinder

got my new master and slave cylinders from rock auto.

as well as a stainless line from rotary performance. the end of the line that goes into the slave is an m10x1.0 thread, as is the threads on the master cylinder. the inside threads on the slave are 10x1.25 however. so did i get a 79-80 slave or is it just the manufacturers error. i doubt RP would make the error. so, who is correct?

thanks,
Nick

Both threads on mine were the same as I recall. Sounds like you got the wrong slave.

Does the SS line fit your old parts?

Does the SS line fit your old parts? At least that way, you can find out what is wrong.
I put in an SS line to a new master and slave I bought from Kragen and they fit perfectly and it seemed to make a difference. It made a big difference in the brakes.

pretty sure coarse thread is all pre-81, and everything after is fine (M10x1)

Should make a huge difference. These parts are good and seasoned at this age.
