Skyline motor in FB

Now that I have gotten all of you to look heres my question, I have searched the FAQ and the used to search function to no help:

If you block off the OMP and begin running two stroke oil, does regular motor oil still need to be ran? I know it seems like a newbie question, but nothing covered that. To my guess it would have to be because there are other parts of the engine that need to be lubed and not just the apex seals. But will this affect the combustion portion of the engine?

how else is the engine going to be lubricated? the omp is for the combustion cycle, not all around lubing. that's what the oil pump is for. the amount of oil in premix isn't nearly enough to properly lubricate an engine anyway.

and as far as i know, no one has put a rb26dett engine in a fb. there just ain't any room for it.

what does the topic have to do the with the question?

When u pour in oil, it serves 2 purposes. The first one is to lubricates the engine internals. The second purpose is to be used in the metering oil pump so the apex seals are lubricated. Mazda would never sell rotaries if they built a seperate reservoir for premix. When ur MOP is off, the engine oil will be used only lubricating the internals.

Tip: Always carry premix in ur car. I carry a 5 gallon bottle in the storage compartment.

Sorry for threadjacking, just sharing To answer your question tjgosurf, yes you must use motor oil at all times. Once you block off the OMP, premix 2- stroke oil into your gas tank.
Carlito.. 5 gallons in the storage!?
