I was just wondering if it would be possible to put the new Renessis rotary in the 1st Gen. If so what kind of mods would be neccesary to do something like that? And would it still get the car to as high of a speed as it does in the RX8?


Just curious really, but if this turns out to be something plausible, I might consider doing so.

The point is that I might be able to get a significant amount of power out of a Renasis over the Wenkle. And yeah I guess with money anyone can do anything.

 

they are both wankels, the renasis is simply a newer design.

It has been done, the best way to do it though is to get a RX-8 front clip/one that was totalled from the back. Then you can steal the 6 speed tranny, Renesis motor, ECU, Seats, shift ****, the list goes on and on...
