i think you can take him. driving abilities are also a factor. stage your suspension when you race, this help me run a 15.3 in a stock port 12a with exhaust, intake, light flywheel and clutch.
when you are on the line pull up your ebrake and let out on your clutch until you feel the car lean forward and feels like it wants to go forward. hold it there and drop the ebrake and slam the gas and youre off.

thats my .02

I think it would be a close race. They do have more weight, but they have quite a bit of power too. I say it'll be down to who is the better of the two drivers.

I seen a RSX run a 15.4 at Sparta when I was there and ran my Alero. I think its quite possible for you to run faster than him. Those cars are far from light for their size. I think about 3000 lb. Its basically a Civic with more luxury and more weight, and of course a better engine. I believe its the B18C engine in those, good for 200hp stock.

Here is a site to check out what kinda times most people run, both modified and stock. http://www.dragtimes.com/

^^ K20. if i got that stock port motor to a 15.3 with those mods, then you have to beat him. unless you cant drive and he can. i usually see RSXs run mid-high 15s at the track

The type S runs 205hp stock I believe. That site I posted shows the slowest at 16.2, but thats only 1. The rest are pretty much under 15.5. It all depends on how you can drive. If you ask me, dj55b's car and the RSX type S are pretty well matched and should make for a good race. There is one dyno sheet that I found of a stock RSX with the K20 engine, it put down 175hp and something like 129 tq. That torque is actually quite pathetic IMO, one reason I don't like honda engines. If it makes less torque than a rotary with similar power, it really is ****. Not tryin to talk down on the rotary, but I have to state the obvious here.

Not to mention you have to keep the revs up high to get the power down in a rsx which leaves you stuck in each gear longer.

If the Honda dumps the clutch in 1st geat and starts spinning on his launch, just run through 1st and 2nd, then quit, you beat him. lol

Back in the day when I was driving bugs, I could beat any car across the crosswalk, most across the intersection. That's when I quit because I had already beat them.

You got it. One bottle for show meaning when he tells you to eliminate the juice, this is what you unhook. And for the real bottle, its hidden and is functional. The 7 cant loose!!!

Thats is much lighter than even a stock GS. I believe a GS weighs around 2320lbs, or something like that, dry. You must have lightened it. 2600lbs with driver and tools is not a bad weight at all.

I think you'll take him. It will be a close race, but you will most likely prevail. It takes some talent to launch a low torque FWD car, and honda's are the worst. Their torque is quite pathetic IMO. Might as well have a high power motorcycle engine in the car that can rev to the sky. Honda engines are not made for drag racing, thats all there is to it. Their made for continuous high RPM use on a track.

It will be close depending on driver, and mods. A friend has an RSX-S and i only beat him by 1/2-1 car on the street. He has a cold-air intake, dc sports race header, HKS cat-back, a test-pipe, and some kind of defouler in his computer so that he doesn't throw a CEL. Those cars are a pain to launch on anything but clean asphault because if the car doesn't hook before VTEC the tires go up in smoke or you have to pedal it to get it to catch. If i race him from a roll he beats me, from a dig i pull 2 or so cars on him and he just tries to play catch-up. With those mods i mentioned above it's normal to see those cars in the 200-215 whp range.

this should not be close are you people retarded? his car should run mid 14's. My 83 gsl full interior ran a 14.6 with 140whp the rsx -S runs 15.4 tops with a pro driver behind the wheel... if he loses it's cause he's an idiot and can't drive, and I'll punch him in the face. I ran my time on 185/70-13 tires on stock rims so that had nothing to do with it.
