Exclamation Sign the petition to put Enkei 4x110 mesh back into production

The thread title pretty much explains it all, but I wanted to get this out where some of our other members would have a chance to see it and sign. If you are like me, you love old school mesh wheels. However, undamaged wheels are nearly impossible to find and cost many hundreds of dollars due to their rarity. Recently, Enkei has decided to bring back their "ENKEI92" mesh wheels as part of their classic line.

Unfortunately, as you can probably guess there is no 4x110mm available for us. As such, I have started an online petition to express our interest to them. THIS IS NOT A GROUP BUY THREAD. It is just a way of showing Enkei that there is still interest in a 4x110 bolt pattern after all these years. Let them know that the 1st generation Rx-7 is still alive and we want these wheels in a 4x110mm pattern!

Please click below to sign the petition! I have added it to my signature as well to try and spread the word.
Jamie

Why? You can get a good set of used ones for $300... The new ones are $200 each. I've already owned two sets, but as pretty as they are, they're way to heavy.

Personally, in my time around here I've only seen a handful of truly nice sets of mesh wheels come up for sale and they are usually VERY PRICEY. Could I pick up a set of 15x7 mesh wheels for $300 on a lucky day in the classified section? Sure, but the ones I've seen at that price are usually missing the center caps, have been curbed all to hell, and desperately need refinished. But to each his own. I will definitely agree with you that the mesh wheels are on the heavy side. They just look so good that I really don't care, and I think others would agree.

I have always dreamed about having a set of new mesh wheels to put on my 1985, and it looks like that may be a possibility finally. We'll have to wait and see how things go...

I signed it and posted a link on my FB page. I've found sets of Enkei's before but as Glazedham stated they are usually beat the f*** up. If they are released in our bolt pattern I'll pick up two sets. Both my 7's will be road worthy this summer

Thanks to those that have signed! 15 signatures already. Not bad everyone! Keep spreading the word! I believe that this is how the Konig Rewind ended up being offered in a 4x110 bolt pattern. Enough people asked and they finally started making them. Let's make that happen again, but this time with everyone's favorite wheel!

SPREAD THE WORD!

I hear the HTR-200 Sumitomo's are discontinued as well. We need to start a petition for those as well, as they are very good tires.

I also signed the petition, as well.

The good thing is that Enkei is already producing these wheels again. Just not in our bolt pattern. So we're already halfway there.

I hope people who signed the petition are serious. As soon as they get done in our bolt pattern I'm buying two sets.

I'm hoping to get up to at least 50 before I contact Enkei. We're currently at 42.

We're at 49 right now guys. Let's get some more signatures before I start contacting people. I'm going to wait another week or so, and then try to get the ball rolling.

This is kinda sad in a way. Meshies are so special cause they are rare and different and made for these cars. Fine with me though. Makes my Autobahns more rare . My buddy has a set of Enkie Mesh 92 in perfect condition with a full polish in the west for sale section. Half the price of what these will be new. Someone should pick those up.

They are already offering them for sale in your 4x114.3 bolt pattern. The GSL-SE uses a different bolt pattern than the S, GS, and GSLs do. They are all 4x110, which unfortunately Enkei isn't offering. But, your GSL-SE already has wheels available.
