Side Seals

Are all side seals alike?
I understand that the later 13B side seals are thinner.
What is the truth?
Thanks~ JEB

1985 and earlier, the side seals are 1.0 mm thick (and 3mm apex seals). 1986 and later, the side seals are 0.7 mm thick (and 2mm apex seals). Prior to '74, the engines had double side seals. 13B and 12A makes no difference.
