Should I install a new carb

So when I bought my rx7 the old owner also gave me a Weber dcoe 45 with everything to put it on the thing is I'm not sure if it would even run if I put on since the car is stock other than the msd ignition system thank you in advance for any help

It should work even with a stock port, but if the Weber hasn't been used with this engine before it'll need to be tuned to it. That means buying different jets, emulsion tubes, venturis, etc. and that all can add up.

If your car is completely stock I'd suggest leaving it be, especially if you need to pass California's inspection.

It already passed smog also is there any way I could learn to tune it myself?
