should i buy a 83 rx7?

hey im getting a rx for my bro since i love mine but is it worth getting him his first car a 83 with a streetport rb headers and a racing clutch also has a rx2 hood how fast is this i want it fast but i dont want him dead lol tell me if its worth getting or should i get him a second gen like mine

An RX-2 hood? Do those fit? Anyways, without a price, it's hard to recommend the car to you, but so long as it's not ridiculous, I always recommend buying a 1st gen. It's impossible to gauge the speed of this car based on your info of "streetport and headers" as streetports come in many varieties, not to mention the exhaust setups out there.

If it makes any difference, I would recommend a 1st gen. I love mine. I'm sure if you read through some of the threads from other people here in the 1st gen section you'll notice really quickly why we like them so much.

Well if this is his first car then I'd say 1st gen for sure. Simple,easy to fix,easy to modify,cheep to modify,ect ect...
