my air filter is unbelievably hard to take out. there are four bolts threaded on each side that come out on each side of the filter. one side is by the carburetor. and one is facing away from it. there are four bolts on the carburetor side, two of which, are beneth the carburetor! and on the other side, there are four bolts. one of them is behind the oil filter, and one is behind the oil stem thingy. anyone here have a sidedraft carb and have any suggestions?????

 

That is NOT a stock carb. I haven't even seen that air filter on an aftermarket carb before.

 

If it's not stock I doubt anyone can help without seeing it first. Can you take a picture to load up?Don't I feel stupid! Should thought before I spoke.Didn't really see that there was an attachment till after my post. Looks like you'll have to fabricate something don't really know what thought.

 

There should be 2 nuts or bolts on driver's side facing the carb where you can take the lid out and the filter.
