Shock advice

(also posted in suspension forum)

Alright.. Another suspension setup question.

I'll be getting new shocks to go on my 85 GSL-SE here shortly to go with the ground control coil overs. My question is, what shocks should I get. The car will be used mainly for autocross, and occaisionally on the street. SHould I go with the Tokico Illumnia, Tokico Racing (going to have the camber caster plates installed anyway) or go to the full Bilstein or Koni Racing Inserts?

Does anyone have experiance with the differences between these? Thoughts?

there's some awesome deals on konis at classicgarage.com. $40 for strut inserts apiece and $75 each for the rear shocks. http://www.classicgarage.com/classicgarage/rx7.html

Thought you were planning a coil over setup?

I'd say, get whatever your budget would allow, go for the Illumina's, great deal for the price, since you already have the coilovers, you may not want to look at http://www.gforceengineering.net and thier sweet coilover with Advanced design adjustable struts with compression and rebound adjustments SWEET!!!
I'm just sticking with the Illuminas, Eibachs, for now, and maybe get a set of coilovers come spring, I want to do the T2 4 piston conversion so I may change a few things.............

yeah, I saw those... They would be my ultimate dream, but I really can't afford their asking price of $479 for custom strut housings, plus $399 per strut insert on top of the 179$ for the coil-over kit base.. Ouch!
