She's ALIVE.....but on life support.
Ok well i replaced the bad ignitor today and "wa-bam" my 2.5 year project is up and running....well she's running anyway. It'll start and run now after very little cranking maybe 2 times around.. but it idles fine but if i give it gas she dies.
it has new fuel filter, carb, fuel pump, fuel lines, intake, all the emmisions have been removed and i am running it open header right now...any ideas? thanks for all the help along the way. It feels great to finally have my car running.....

Hmmm, it just dies with any gas. You might want check all the basics, air/fuel, timing, vacuum leaks. My car used to die wheni got on it. The cause was that my carb was dumpin all fuel into the engine, and not getting enough air. Somehow my floats got stuck.... damnit i hate carbs.
Any gas at all? What if you slowly open it? Maybe the accelerator pump isnt working right? Is the gas thats in it 2.5 years old too? Youre talking about the car in your sig with the Holley, right?

yeah but i drained the tank refinnished it and refilled...I think the holley needs a little adjustment..It's pumping too much gas in and is flooding the motor...I'll fiddle with it and let you guys know the results, I am buying a new fpr too...
