Make sure the battery connections are good. If that's not the problem, try to jump start it, who knows, maybe you let the battery just get a little dead by leaving a door open while you were working on it.

First off you want to check to see if you have spark in leading and trailing and check to see if you have power going to your coils and igniters...then try and reset the disturber to top dead center...and check the timing...not saying thats it..but it dosent hurt to check all of that...if thats not the case maybe you flooded it..so pull the plugs out and clean them dry..and with the plugs out crank it over a few times to get all of the gas out...and the problem with the carb over flowing could be your floats and needles...try replacing them and if that dosent work try to readjust the floats...cuz if those are off or tilted a little bit they are not going to stop the fuel....its very tricky but i had alot of problems with the floats...one of my floats was tilted a bit and the carb would over flow like crazy...well hope this can help...let me know
