Well my starter just shitted on me...i had to push start her after i got off of work...fun times. Anyways just a real quick questions guys...how much do starters run for our cars....i gots me an 82' GS 12A. Thanks in advance for any info.

 

autozone.com says that for an 83 (I just left it with my settings) a starter is 70 + 25 core.

 

Marcello, instead of pushing it, did you try hitting it with a hammer? BTW, you'll be there thursday right??

 

go to your local junk yard and yank one off any 1st gen (got one off a 79 for my 84)

 

anyone have a good used starter they wanna get rid of?

Have you tried hammering the starter a little bit? The brushes on the starter on my Jeep are going bad, but all I have to do is tap it a couple times with a hammer, and it starts right up.

I'd say try that in the meantime while waiting to put the other starter on.
