Sorry, nothing close to Jimmy54s engine photos.

Shaved dizzy, I mean, distributor. I'll bet Jeezus likes it, Jeezus Shaves
Please ignore the grime elsewhere.

That's cool. So I assume you are only running a direct fire leading ignition. How did you make that dizzy cover?

Quick camera phone pic of the wire tuck in progress

Took the fender off and there were 3 or 4 holes that got progressively smaller, I chose the 2nd one for the placement, since it was at a right angle to the stock firewall hole. The outer hole is I believe a 2.5", the inside hole is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3". I used the same hole saw for both holes, then used a dremel for about 3 hours (literally) and vacuum to dremel that hole big enough to reuse the stock harness grommit. Gromit. Grommet. However you spell it. I painted the holes then fed the wires through, one by one or bundle by bundle. The trim is some 1/8" vacuum line split down the middle and epoxied on. It would have been cleaner and probably easier if I put the vacuum line trim down first then fed the wires through, but it will be hidden behind the panel anyways. The loom holds my LED switchboard I made. The white/red wire is the stock power that runs into the ignition switch and whatnot. The ignition switch will be getting the relay mod pretty soon. Helpful hint, you can find a bunch of 70A relays for the ignition from ford taurus/thunderbird/crown vic on the passenger strut tower wall.

I have been tossing around the idea of fabbing up some frog arms like the miata's have while the fender is off...

He is "contemplating" making those, they are on a car other than an Rx-7, I'm thinking Miata for for some reason. Bracing the front end/suspension.
Looks like it may be effective.

Ya, 2GDFLIS, wasted spark, I think
I cut a stock cap down on a table saw with a plastic cutting blade, and cut the top from a piece of plastic my neighbor had ( I was short on plastic ).
I wanted to form a cap with an M in the middle, but as I mentioned, I was short on plastic.

Jeezus I'm sorry for being drunk and lazy, did you exit the wires to the fender well from the cabin, or after the firewall ?

I've actually thought about designing a cover for the dizzy that can be made out of aluminum or abs plastic for those of us who run direct without trailing and while it's cool to see peoples bewilderment seeing coils and wires but none on the dizzy, I wanted to streamline it as much as possible.

This is where I am currently, intake, water pump and exhaust are all back on for the most part, still have to fix my windshield wiper bushings and such.
As for the wiring, it's going to be as simple as simple can be, wrapped and tucked neatly against the body hopefully won't be too noticable, but I also plan on extending and running the alternator and dizzy wiring across the top of the motor back to the firewall and have it run back there instead of hopping across a giant void just to meet up with the rest of the harness....a little extra wire but alot cleaner look. Also still need to wash the damn thing lol took the wire wheel to the RB intake and some 'awesome' cleaner to the housings which cleaned up nicely but gotta scrub em a little harder and take off that view port plate for the flywheel and clean that up.

From inside the cabin. I would get you a picture of the inside but I would like not to contort my body like that as little as possible

Drew you a picture instead, hope that helps.
