Setup question

well i know you are all of sick of seeing setup question like "OMG HOW 2 TURB0 MY RX"

and stuff of that sort.

but me however, i have a LOW mielage stock ported 13b.....

i dotn want to pull and port due to the low mielage, so im just looking for bolt on performance, the car allready has a full RB exhaust, and no cats

i was thinking about carbing it, but ive not heard of too many stock ported 13b 6 port carb setups, anyone have any suggestions.

it would be awsoem to hear from people who have actually done such a setup

i helped by friend build his car, street ported, but the 6 port 13b. full rb exaust and a holley 600. stock port you could probably go with the 475 holley. i currently have a dellorto 48dhla on a stock port 12a. any carb you want would probably work as long as you jet/tune it correctly. my friends car is fast as ****, 200hp.

looks as if ill be going with a webber 48ida.

i cant wait.... lol, people are now telling me, aww a carb wont get you ANY power gains for what your paying, i figure if i can make 155 or wo to the wheels with it for 600 - 700 bucks, well thats a 40 hourse gain for that, compared to the 2k honda guys seem to spend on getting an extra 40

Going with the IDA is one of the best performance mods you can ever do, if you dont want to turbo it. 155-160? If you get a nice streetport, headers and straight exhaust, i would expect to see more, more likely 180-190 if tuned correctly (at the flywheel)

I would also suggest simple upgrades like changing the plug wires, maybe direct fire, and upgrading the coils. And you could get a e-fan, and double pulleys. The last ones wont give you any HP, but it will definetivly affect performance in a nice way.

ive already doen the exhaust, headers thing..

new plug wires and plugs are going on.

ive heard that the webber 48ida's are hard to start in cold weather, luckily, i love in TX

i figure 150, 160 at the wheels due to the fact, im not going to pull and port, my engine is running REAL strong and has low mileage, so it would be a waste.
