My 85 has a secondary coolant resivoir located under the windshield washer resivoir... i was told it was for sub zero starting or something like that. Anyways there is a long hose that comes out of it that is disconnected and i can't figure out what its suppose to attach to... Anyone have any idea?

That's for the sub-zero starting system... I don't think it gets that cold in California.
Odds are it doesn't work properly anyhow... there's a TSB that says for dealers to remove or disconnect them on 2nd gens, and they were neve rincluded on 3rd gens.
Pitch the system, it's useless.

Only federal cars had them, CARB would not allow cars sold in California to have them because of emission levels when used.
Injecting coolant into your engine a on cold morning is very hazardous to the enviroment.

There should be a brass port on the carb underneath two of the omp lines. (near the top of the carb, not the OMP lines near the base. It uses a 14mm wrench to remove. Simply cap that port, or take it out and plug it with a like brass screw.
