Second 'glass hood.

Oh boy,, i'm understanding composits big time,,,,now
i just need to gel coat a couple of times, sand, finish,

i'll get some pics asap. right around 12-15 lbs with latch box, prop rod box. braces for hinges. stock looking.
thought i'd share.

yes, but are you sure the ma means fiberglass? even though a glass hood would be heavier and offer no benifet other than looks. but you are probable right, he probably does mean fiberglass.

The fiberglass hood sounds sweet though. Did you mold the stock substructure or did you make something else for support?

How about plexiglass or acrylic?

Curious, in the move "Fast and the Furious" does Hector's Honda, in the market place scene, have a clear hood or just the hood removed.

I see a guy with a clear hood all the time in my city. It's a red ford focus, very highly modded. I think it's made from thin plexi.
