Fungus, those 8 seats, the cloth ones, look like with the sliders removed would lower you down a little. I haven't actually measured but when I was looking I got that impression.
I have one of these under my speed3 seat, as I have no real fab skills. I can't imagine anything getting lower.

what a coincidence that my nephew, resides in Phoenix, came over this weekend and he asked for a FB as a bday gift, turning 15 next year. he really wanted the RX-3 but I told him it is POS LOL. thanks to video games.

So I went over with my inventory, he will get a stock 12-a motor with aluminum flywheel, headers and modded RX-2 carb for now...A/C will be his dads problem I will mod the seats as he is 6'3 and 220 lbs, will likely be 6'6 in a few years.

thats funny. i picked up complete gsl-se rear, disc to disc with 4.44 from good friend 1984SE. now everyone wants it. on top of that, we picked up a clean 84 GSL-SE for dirt cheap. motor is blown but not an issue.

Will use the gsl-se rear end to convert a 74 RX-4 to 4x114 bolt pattern. front and booster/master have been converted to SE

I put a Recaro Expert in my '85 GSL and I used a Planted bracket. The Recaro is heavier than the stock GSL-SE leather seat but it is also much higher quality. Really easy to install with a 12mm socket for reusing the 4 OEM bolts that mount the seat bracket to the floor. There are 4 bolts that hold the seat to the bracket from Planted as well. Very comfortable and I gained about 1.5" of much needed headroom. The seat has much more minute adjustment capabilities so I can get it just right! Highly recommended.

Cheers,

Bo
