Seating options

Is anyone running any seats out of another car?

The seats in the SA need replacing and I've been entertaining the idea of seats out of a later model Escort or something similar.

Just looking for ideas of what fits and what doesn't before I hit the junk yard.

I like the 84-85 fb seats best as far as direct bolt in goes. The fc seats bolt in and are quite cushy, but i never felt they had the support of an fb seat. The rx8 seats can be made to fit, and are awesomely comfortable.

I did like the RX8 seats when I sat in them but they're so damn expensive.

everything up to the FC bolts in, which is nice. sometimes getting a seat to bolt in can be really involved

miata seat might be an option too, they have the right look

Yah - they are sweet. Takes some head scratch and a set of aftermarket seat-brackets (made to fit an RX7) to do it, but worth it....
Ebay is full of used sets for $200+. I'd stick with the manual version, as they are heavy already - never mind all the electrics.
Can't beat the look of those rotor-shaped head rests...

Seat brackets are a non-issue, plenty of experience swapping seats into whatever car needed them. I know I only have roughly 23" to work with width wise, so I'm more wondering if anyone knows what will actually physically fit and what won't.

Might look into the Miata seats, they should be small enough and probably would look "right" in the car.
