Seat question TII or 3rd gen

Has anyone mounted a set of TII or 3rd Gen seats in a 1St gen?
I like the feel of my old 89TII leather seats and would like to know if they would fit in the 1st gen before I try to buy some.

2nd gen seats are supposedly a direct bolt in for the 1st gens. not sure about the 3rd gen seats, though.

That is correct,2ed gen seats bolt right in to a 1st gen, i did it, the 2ed
gen seats(to me)are much better, larger bolsters on the sides.and
taller at the back rests.i really like 'em and glad i installed them..
i don't know about the FD seats though.

the fc seats bolt right in, but the fd seats would require some kind of custom seat rails. maybe miata seat would work?
