searched not same probs. lost running lights and insde lights

so the other day my passenger head light was not going up after going auto-crossing but all other lights where working ok. no big deal i opned the hood found that the retractor bar had fallen off hooked it back up and went in the car, i noticed it was sort of dark to i turn my lights on and ... they where on all my inside lights, bins, glove box, dash, (rpm gauge and wideband gauges are hooked to the light switch from the clock) front and side markers, rear tail lights and license plate lights are all out and the head lights are working along with high beam but they wont go down.
i look at all fused they are all good. took the light switch off and probed the motor up down wires with a test light works ok, unplugged the motor switch test all seams ok, dissembled the motor switch all was ok aside from not making it go down with the switch.. i could trigger the motors up and down with the correct wires at the switch..
any one have any clues or had this sort of thing happen.. i tested the main grounds for the lights with test light and it lights up ok... im so confused im starting to think it might be the combo box that runs the flashers....

thanks for your help
