sea foam :)

Just used sea foam the first time on my 12a. seemed to do what it says... instant change in throttle response, idles very clean now.. I don't know if the motor had too much carbon build up as it only has around 20k miles but it runs great. I also put a bit in my fuel so as to maybe continue to clean until my next gas stop...

I was thinking it says you can add it to engine oil too, and since our cars omp throws oil into the combustion chamber this will also continue to clean it... has anyone tried this approach? I was scared to use it at first but after adding a bit to my oil then letting it run for awhile. I drained the oil and it was black... this oil only had 60 - 100 miles on it!!!!!

So if it pulled all that goo from the oiling system I figured it may work pretty well in the rest of the motor...

I will let you guys know if I have any catistrophic failures in the next week or two. I saw someone post that his motor blew after using it, so we will see

I added a full can to a full tank of gas and it did not hurt... Can't tell that it helped either. I think you and I have the same carb too (see your carb id thread) did you pour it in the top of the carb?

Sea foam you say? Where would somebody pick this stuff up? It would definately benefit my car, as it has been sitting in storage until recently.

I love the stuff, works great as a storage tool for fuel. Add it to the gas and let the system run for a bit, then shut it down so it's through the whole system. I use it in the winter in my winter beater too every once in a while with the cold weather. Stuff works great in my opinion. Yeah, NAPA does sell it.
