Cool -se rearend whine when on power??

This only occurs when I have the accelerator down, I let up and it goes away, disengage the clutch and it goes away.
Installed new Moser axles and all new seals and bearings. LSD has not been removed from the housing at all, stock to my knowledge
Running Royal Purple LSD lube.

Do I need to reset the ring and pinion backlash on a rearend I never disassembled?
It's going to take longer then expected to get my KAAZ lsd so I gotta put up with this untill then unless there is a way to fix this sound.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the help fellas....

i have a similar problem but mine just whines with speed, the faster i go the more it whines, with the clutch engaged or not, so i replaced the gear oil in it, and it didnt make a difference so im not worried about it.

if it only happens when there is engine input to the rear, then it sounds like gears to me. ive seen some pretty nasty gsl rears that had almost twice the ramp on the accel side than on the decel side.

your still running the stock gsl-se rear correct, just upgraded moser axels...interesting that you have an issue if you just swapped out axels. however it definatly sounds like you need to adjust your pinion backlash. seems like you might be slightly too deep into drive gear?

i had one that did that, either the pinion bearings or the backlash.

I just went through this, and I have my rear ready to go back in. For me, both the ring and pinion gears were shot. It wasn't very noticeable. I had to look at them both under a really bright light to see the heat (blue-ish) marks. I also had really good limited slip oil in the rear. The problem was that there just wasn't enough oil in the rear and things got too hot. If you never had the 3rd member out, I doubt it has anything to do with adjustments. Did this only happen after you replaced the axles?
