SE Oil Cooler into a GS
SE Oil Cooler into a GS
I've got an SE oil cooler out of an 85 and I'd like to install it into my 85 GS. Is it easier doing it with an SE cooler as opposed to an 80 oil cooler? Is this pretty much a bolt in project? Also, will any pedestal from 1980-1982 or 1985 SE work on my GS? Thanks.
If you use the SE stuff it is all a bolt on experience because the mounts are already there on your 85 to mount the oil cooler directly under the radiator.
I *believe* the 80 one mounts in front of the radiator,
and you *might* have to do a little bracket fabricating.

I don't know how the non SE models mounted in 85.

the mounts should be there for the se oil cooler. the long se oil cooler hose will fit, but the short cooler line needs to be longer (the 12a is shorter)
