Exclamation SE fuel rail question

If you take the fuel rail off the injectors and looks straight down the two injector holes, is there anything in there???? I have resealed both my injectors 3 times with new o rings and grommets and i can still see fuel spilling out from where the rail meets the injector???? If there isn't, then I'll just have to see if I can get some more inejectors, ones I know are right. Plz help! Thanx

Most common reason for leaking is cut o-rings.The o-rings at the top of the injector(not the big grommets, but the little o-rings futhur down)should always be new, and you need to lube them with a little oil before installing the fuel rail. Its also important to push the rail down straight and equally over both injectors. If not,the sharp edges of the fuel rail holes will cut the o-rings, and your back to square one.

No there is not.
I don't see how it could be the injectors?

possibly wrong ones. Engine was rebuilt by who knows 60K ago before I got the car. Could have possibly swapped with lower volume injectors making excess fuel that the injector cannot handle spill over the sides.....

No, that shouldn't happen. All top feed injectors have the same size fitting and should all fit the fuel rail the same way.

Excess fuel pressure shouldn't seep out as long as the o-rings are good and the fuel rail is bolted in properly.

The worst thing that should happen from having injectors too small is a loss of power and fuel starvation...

Are both injectors leaking?

Are you sure it leaking from the fuel rail connection?

The only things I can think of:
1.)The rail itself is damaged? Any dents or nicks around where the o-ring seats in the fuel rail would cause a leak
2.)The injectors themselves could be leaking if they're damaged in some way
3.)The injectors are not seated properly for some reason?
4.)I hope this doesn't sound dumb or insulting, but all the seals are in the right place, right?
You should have the hard rubber isolator down at the 'business end' of the injector (between the metal body of the injector and the metal engine block)
The o-ring should be in it's little groove on the top end, and the soft ribber grommet should sit at the base of the metal nipple on the top end.
5.)If it's not the injectors theselves, it could be either end of the fuel rail. The pulsation dampner (under the little platic cap) is a common culprit. Also if the rail fittings are not torqued enough, or if you're missing any of the washers, the rail itself would leak...
