SE brake master cylinder

is there any other master cylinders that will bolt up to an 84 se. mines shot and i would rather go to the parts yard and get one. this yard has everything but an rx7 so any suggestions would be helpful thanx

Yoy're better of buying a new or rebuilt unit. Brakes are not a good place for used, questionable parts.

That's the cheapest way to go if you have a hone. Doesn't always work due to corrosion inside.

1st question I am going to ask. What symptons are you having that make you believe that the brake master cylinder is bad?

If you have no external leaks, then the master is leaking/bypassing internally. Perhaps doc forgot about your other thread. He's old you know.

You should be able to order a rebuild kit from any local parts store. Rockauto seems to have the best prices on rebuilt/new ones.

They show a remanufactured one for $36.00 exchange. A kit is that much. I would not recommend driving the car until you get it fixed. When they decide to fail you will not be given any warning. :-(

I had the same problem, I could not find the leak for nothing, until I removed the interior for the stereo upgrade and saw that my floor was alittle wet found that it was brake fluid.
