Unsure, i scored it in new condition for $75. A forum member had it in his garage for over 7 years collecting dust..

I love the scoop. Anybody with a non-functional scoop deserves you pulling up next to them for a lesson in form following function. Stick with what you have. If you go turbo later, keep the hood opening and convert it to a heat vent. By the way, did you notice a temp drop with your wrapped header?

Between the wing, wheels and scoop, you have a very sharp visual upgrade package. If the scoop was non-functional, it would need to go. As it is, it works quite well. Only thought/suggestion might be to see if you could anodize the scoop to match the wheels since they are predominately anodized gold. Personally, I'd run it the way it is and tell everyone else to STFU.

Not wasting money on the scoop since it will likely go away.

Bingo. It's functional and it will definitely get some double-takes on the street.

i say loose it and fab up a nice cold air intake or something to the lower front.

the big chrome scoop takes away from the appeal of the car. draws your eye to the hood not the nice lines and rest of car.

also looses all sleeper status and rain/ bug/ debris will get sucked inot it easily. been there done that on several old American cars in past.

so my vote for no scoop.

The scoop is a cold air intake, tried the carb hat & cone filter thing and it fell on it's face. It needs the fresh air there and now. As for bugs, no biggy, that is why i have a filter. As for rain, the car doesn't see any. The scoop attracts many looks, compliments and thumbs up...without it, anyone who doesn't know the car just thinks it's a nice old sports car and doesn't even pass a second look.

Keep it since it is functional, but I would suggest building a surround around it. It looks like you just cut a hole in your hood and the blower just sticks out. It needs an actual scoop/cover molded to the hood.

If I could afford that blower, I'd do the exact same thing!

+1 on an airdam. But thats my personal opinion. Either way looks schweet!
