sat in a 1st gen gsl-se today... *heavy sigh*
and it was just as good as i thought i'd be. one day....
I'm 21, and i have my lisence and minimum wage job that could support it.
trouble is, every last dollar i make goes to the registrar at college or to pay off my friend's insurance.
going to school and crashing your friend's cars are expensive hobbies, so the fb will have to wait.
i guess i'll just lurk here for the next 6 months instead. at least it wont cost me any gas.
might even learn something.

Good things come to those who wait with patience.
I waited 13 months to buy my 1st RX-7. It took me that long to save up my 1500 down payment. She cost me 4600 in 91. I suffered in an 81 Mazda GLC until that fine day. Haha, come to think of it. I spent more on maintenance on that GLC in 13 mo's than I did in the 6 years I owned that 7
. Up until I hit that palette and blew my engine, that is.

You think that's bad? I let a cream colored 84 SE slip through my hands because I was being lazy a couple of weeks ago. Car ran great, drove great, no dents needed cloth on headliner fixed, that's it. could of had it for $1600 but missplaced the guys phone number and never got around to finding it again.

There's gotta be a few GSL-SEs in the Vancouver BC area.. it's just a matter of time before you see one. There are quite a few in the Seattle area.. quite a few being 12 or so.
Maybe there's a rotary club in your area. A couple of years ago, BC'ers on the CDN forum were talking about forming a club.
The major differences between a (stock) '84-85 GSL and GSL-SE are acceleration and braking, but once the mods start..

Big difference would be the fuel injected 13B.
i should have specified that this is the first time I've ever sat in an rx7 of any kind.
i caused 1000$ of damage to my friends car, and cause his insurance premiums to go up by 3000$ over the next 3 years.

Its your friends fault for letting you drive it.... thats why the insurance is in his name.... his responisiblity. Of course after a fight over who pays what, he probably wouldn't be your friend anymore
Honestly though, I'd 'feel' bad, but I wouldn't make commitments on the order of "my first child"(aka everything you own to anyone) to anyone, just cause I wreaked their car... then again, I'm very cautious about driving other people's cars for that very reason.

Wow, the BC club is Huge!! even if some members aren't active, that's still a big club. Pretty damn impressive!
Thanks for the link. I've never been to Mission Raceway, but it looks like I'll go there next year.
