I recently purchased Moser axles and retaining brackets from RE Speed.

Everything arrived in a timely manner. I had some questions about the axles and sent an email to the contact address. Sam responded to me in hours with the answers I needed.

So no real issues here.

I called the shop daily for about a week and a half, left a message, no response.

I was ready to drop $2k through him, SO glad I didnt. Very sad, I need coilovers!

After researching feedback on the rack & pinion (thanks dream36realms & Rotaryshack) I've decided against - buh-bye turning radius! Instead, I re-installed the stock 15" steering wheel and will be hooking up the stock power steering rack which previous owner removed.

how bad is the turning radius reduced...im going with a turbo swap and wanted stronger steering...is this worth it or should I just fork out the 500 for a rebuilt unit from mazdatrix? is my performance going to be hindered on the track at all or is it just in parkimg lots? how about uturns

2nd gen subframe swap would be a second option if you don't like 7 1/2 turns lock to lock on a 15" steering wheel...

The turning radius is only reduced alittle. The more noticable affect is the front tires "scrub" when making tight, low speed turns, like in a parking lot or on very tight u-turns, it goes away when there is any significant speed. It can be eliminated or at least reduced by changing the steering knuckles to add what is known as "ackerman" to the steering geometry. What this does is turns the inside wheel more than the outside to account for the tighter turning radius when making parking lot turns. I decided not to make changes because it handles soooooo well at speed that I was concerned that adding ackerman may actually hurt the handling near the limit and I am so happy with it that I didnt want to take that chance, so I live with it, not a big deal to me. I love mine and altough I had to work just a few kinks out when I first put it in (it is not totally plug and play) it is the single best mod I have made to my car and makes it drive and handle more like a modern car than the thirty something car it is.

However, it is really a moot point since Sam seems to be having problems filling orders
