A sad story about a stolen 7

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but this whole thing just makes me sick. Complete with pictures. I would have someone's head on a stick if that was my car...

My heart sank when I read this. There is NO dollar value to be placed on a loss like this as any RX-7 owner knows. Tell her she's not alone. I could not fathom losing my GSL-SE and then have it found in that condition.

Those Slimy Bastards

Boy, I hope they find whoever did that and let every RX-7 owner in the world take a whack at him (or her) that'll teach'em. That was a beautiful original!!

and I thought I had it bad when my mint 84 GSL was stolen and stripped, I felt REALLY bad, but can't even come close to imagining what it would be like to have owned it since new. There is no justice for an act like this, very, very sad.

Hi.

I can't quite work this one out. Why is the dash that yellowish colour? Is that paint or something?

To me, Max7's car looks like it was a lot more damaged. They are both pretty sad.

I was just at a shop yesterday getting a quote for putting in an alarm and remote-controlled central locking since my last car was stolen. I might go back to them soon...

Bye,

I got some really nice pictures of my 80 model S after it was stolen in 1994 (just need to go scan them in). It was in PERFECT condition. I got it back and the frame was bent in 12 places that I counted. A note on the bright side, at least they didnt wreck it... The damage is severe, but that can be fixed rather reasonably. I would STILL BE VERY VERY PISSSED!

well that sucks, although you can't really replace it back to new condition, make the insurance company pay for a whole new (red) paint job, new interior, everything. But right before it goes in for paint, find the bastards on the street and RUN 'EM OVER!!!!!!! dicks.. people have no respect for other people's stuff.

the rest of the stuff was unbolted, VERY proffesional.

geee..any advice on how to avoid that kind of tragedy??..will doing this before leaving your car in an unsecured lot be a good idea?:
assuming you have all of this~~~

turn off your fuel pump switch
turn off your battery switch
pull the fuse that starts the car
use the clutch pedal lock
use the steering wheel lock

I know its over kill but its not funny if your baby gets stolen. Heck i'll spend extra 10 minutes just to do all this things to my car rather than being sorry searching for your stolen car for years...

I put a kill switch on my car about 7 years ago, and have had it broken into once, but they were not able to get it started to steel it.

Way way back, before alarms, and other fancy electronics. Think back when you dad was a kid, well my dad is almost 60. He used to remove the entire dist. cap. I know that sounds like a pain in the ****. But kinda hard to steal a car when it wont start.
