sa22c suspension questions

Hello all, I'm new to the boards and a proud owner of a 79 white rx7. I have two questions and hopefully someone can answer them. I heard from a friend that coilovers don't exist for the 1st gen. If so, what is the best spring/strut setup? Also, my motor is stock but my exhaust has no cat but two resonators, will it pass d.e.q.? Thanks in advance!

DEQ? If that's a sniffer test, the answer is no. If you want to go with coilovers, upgrade the front struts to pair of 84-85 struts.

In the following link is a source for FSMs, carb manual and other rotary reading. Time to crack the books and attend rotary school.

Why would he need to do that? We have coil overs for 79-85. You can put FB inserts into SA housings with a small spacer.

To get rid of the wedge brakes in the front. It's an assumption on my part that if he wants to go with coilovers, he plans on pushing limits and upgrading, brakes, calipers and bearings, would be the way I'd go..

Btw, I'll be hitting you up for the big brake kit for the GSL rear, along with 5X114.3 Moser axles in the near future.
