Anyone ever do this? I found an almost rust free project car but it has a sunroof. Im building a track car and would like to delete the sunroof, anyone ever done this? ideally I would like to get a new roof panel but I imagine I will have a hard time finding the part.

 

Why get rid of the sunroof? Body flex? You could just weld the sunroof closed or replace the entire roof with a roof from a hard top car. I enjoyed having my sunroof out when I auto crossed an 84 RX-7 about 10 years ago.

 

Pretty much center of gravity/weight/room.....trust me I have been looking for a roof all week! lol

 

LRBspeed makes an aluminum sunroof delete panel kit for our cars. Comes cut to shape with all rivet holes drilled already, and includes rivets. Weighs 20# less than the OE sunroof. Made for track cars like yours.

 

id rather do the bodywork and have it look nice. but i did consider it.
