SA radiator upgrade

So shortly after installing the dcd's in my 7, the stock radiator started leaking. One of the projects I had in mind when I got the car was to change the radiator to a modern aluminium one, however I sort of wanted to be able to do it later rather than sooner. So, here's the start of the build. The replacement radiator is for a Nissan pathfinder, and has a 26x17 in core. Also both hoses are on the right side. I got it for $54 including shipping from eBay, and it weighs 9lbs. Size comparison:

the cardboard is there to protect the fins while I get it mounted. Here are the test fit pics:

the bungee cords are holding up the front right now.

1) Why are mounting it that way?
2) Why didn't you just get another stock one? They work perfectly fine, even on high performance setups.

mines is also mounted the same, just going in the other direction...check out my drag signature...

I used a FC rad as well...from koyo...i cut it in half added new intanks and an fittings...I couldn't weld it at my house, so my friend did the work for me...Other wise i would have done it myself...But it works super duper great, and since its track only, i wanted air to hit the Rad and the motor at the same time...I run cold at 168ish degree's or so...with a E-Fan...no thermo, and custom over flow...

Don't stop what your doing...but you might want to go with a koyo so you can relocate the inlets and outlets for pipe purpose...thats my only thing...

$289 is more than half of what I paid for the whole car! It does look like a very nice radiator though.
