Unhappy SA Fuel Tank - is this the sending unit?

So, I was cleaning up and refurbishing my gas tank from ole Rusty - my 79 - and as luck would have it, one of the two tabs broke:

It was just cracked a bit and I tried to solder it back on but after a few minutes of that it just flat out broke off. It had been hanging on by a thread and finally gave up I guess. I've researched some threads and I think this is the fuel sending unit:

https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generati...eaning-949491/

https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generati...moval-1025979/

So a couple questions: Is that in fact the fuel sending unit? If so, I guess I understand how difficult it is to find any replacements. Second question, can that electrical connector be replaced or do I have to get lucky and find a new SA unit, or modify a FB unit like DivinDriver did?

if it is the earth spade that broke off, just put a round eye connector under one of those screws

You could solder wires to it, install a connector, then solder the other end of the connector to the factory harness.
