sa fender mirrors???

Any ideas where I can get a set of fender mirrors for my sa? I'm thinking it would score a few points in the 2007$ GRM challenge car show in just cool factor, not to mention it's cool as hell. can I just relocate the mirror I already have? from the pic's I seen it looks like it would be a different set of mirrors.

Thanks

Gene

Since these cars are built on a limited budget, I would be spending it elsewhere. If you want fender mounted mirrors, hit the wreckers that has old imports.

ive been thinking about heading out to a motorcycle salvage yard, and modifying some old bike mirrors for the fender mount style on my '79.

The wing mirrors for RX-7s look like the ones on the door but are smaller and the mounting is a different shape.

Those other fender mirrors look interesting.

how about fitting some early Miata mirrors on the fenders. They kind of look like a larger version of the FD Amemiya mirrors and I think they would give an interesting retro look to a 1st Gen (I have them on my car but not on the fenders)

I LOVE that Savanna style too. I have been looking for a nice set for my fb for a while now. All I can tell you is GOOD LUCK finding them at a reasonable price.

This is the only thing I'd replace my FB mirrors for:

But they have got to be the real thing or a reasonable facsimile.

Okay, now the European mirrors I could see someone having a problem with. They make the car look like a dog sticking its head out of a car window.

Odd as it may seem, the oem, JDM Savannah mirrors are rarer and more expensive than most any other 7 mirror, including the FC aero mirrors and the RE Ameniya custom mirrors for the FCs. There are several members on the forum who have been looking the fender mount ones to complete thier restoration projects for several years. 250 seems to be about the minimum going rate, if one can find them. While they may look cool and unique, they are somewhat worthless when put to practical useage.

Right. Even though you see through them from the wind screen, the field of vision is much narrower.
