http://www.thrashdriveshaft.com/

I had a aluminum 3inch drive shaft made w/ 1ton chevy u-joints made by them. Just told them what trans and diff i was running, they had the specs already. I wanna say it was around 250-300 shipped. I had to trim the u-joint bosses to clear the body, but has worked great so far.

I went with these guys:

Pat's Driveline
3 1235 Shawson Dr
Malton, ON L4W
(905) 564-3155

They are in the Dixie/401 area. As I recall the price was around $400 Cdn. I brought them my old shaft and the yoke from a TII, along with the overall dimensions. It was done in about 3 hrs. What really impressed me was the fact that I had not mentioned the make/model information, and the guy behind the counter correctly identified the parts as being from Mazda rotaries.

I just used a local driveline shop.
About 175 bucks, with Mustang sized,greasable/replaceable Ujoints. Its nothing really custom, since you are still using OEM drivetrain parts(tranny/rearend)

well as it turns out pats has a shop in missisaga, ontario and i called for a second time and the guys used to own rx7s and he says they have done this kind of drive shaft many time, its a good feeling when they start asking what your future plans are and when they tell you the drive shaft will hold slicks
