The flywheel on the S5 TII is a 245mm flywheel. The SA trans will work with an engine with a 215mm or 225mm flywheel such as the S1 though S3 12A and NA 13B 84 through 91. If you had a S4 TII you could swap the 245 flywheel for a 225 S4 NA flywheel and be okay. The S5 flywheel is a different weight, so I really don't know what to advise you on that one.

Best bet is to get a lightweight flywheel (one made for a 1st gen) and then get the counterweight for an S5 TII. That way, you will have proper balance, use a 1st gen clutch (215 or 225 mm) and will work with your SA trans.

As long as you don't beat on it or go to high power levels, the SA tranny should hold up fine.
