S5 intake on GSL-SE?

Ok so I just bought a SE on sunday and have plenty of free time and an S5 NA intake laying around that I don't need, So I was wondering if anybody knows if its possible to fit an S5 intake on the GSL-SE, I know I would need to plug the fuel injector holes on the intake to use it with the GSL-SE ECU.

I was also wandering if i could plug in an S5 ECU inplace of the GSL-SE ECU and use the staged fuel injection setup of the S5?

any pre existing write ups or info would be appreciated

the short answer is yes.

the lower intake is easy, it literally bolts on, the ACV/smog stuff is actually the same, so its smog compatible if you need it to be.

the upper/plumbing gets kind of interesting. you need to grind a little of the rear housing and the intake on the back corner by the oil filter. plug the injectors.

if you're keeping the oil metering pump, it might just be simpler to put an S4 throttle body on it, this lets you hook up the metering pump rod and the TPS is the same as the gsl-se.

you CAN use the S5 tps, but you need to make a little wiring thing that just uses the NARROW range part of the S5 tps.

the throttle body coolant hoses, if you use em, should be the FC ones. gsl-se throttle cable should work, same for the cruise control.

the BAC is weird on the gsl-se, you can either ditch it, or put it on the S5 intake (if it fits) and just run longer hoses

the S5 6 ports and VDI run off of the air pump, and the GSL-SE uses exhaust flow. you can either hook the S5 stuff up like the gsl-se, ditch it, or buy a couple of RPM switches or wire em open.

the S5 ecu is possible to install, but its a big job! you need to build a wiring harness that does the ignition, and such. its not too hard you're comfortable with the wiring diagrams,
