S4 alternator in s3?
Can a s4 alternator bolt onto a s3?
my s3 alt has given up the ghost..not holding charge anymore...i got a s4 alternator since it has 80A compared to the S3 55A......I know the plugs are different but that isnt an issue, I got an auto elec to re wire it to make it work..just hoping that I can put the s4 alternator in thats all first!

Before I started my T2 swap, I was running with an 88 T2 alternator. I didn't have to do anything with the wires or plugs--just swap it out. FYI this was an 84 GSL-SE (13b)--don't know if the 12a is the same.

UPDATE:
S4 Alternator fits in fine... took the auto elec bout 4 mins to rewire plug to fit s4 pins.....now I have a 90A alt, which is much more better than the old 55A, especially for heavy duty elec stuff like Amps, sub, stacker, etc etc. Well worth the upgrade if anyone has trouble with power problems/or needs to replace alt.
