s4 6 port with nikki carb

I'm getting a running s4 13B for the low price of a case of molson XXX. I want to put my sterling nikki on it. HOW. old school 4 port 13B nikki manifold with wallowed out secondary ports and the 6 port sleeves wired open? Is that even possible?

If so, who has an old school 13B nikki manifold they want to sell?

previous question aside. how different is the old school 13B intake manifold bolt spacing compared to an s4/5? i dont even think a 4port 13b nikki manifold will bolt up, will it?

One piece of helpful advice would be to search for "old school 13B hitachi manifold" because no 13B ever came with a Nikki. That should help with your searches. That said, I have messed with two manifolds to fit a Nikki on an S4 13B. So it is possible.

I found one manifold on the forum- a guy was selling it saying it was used to test run freshly built S4 NA engines so he didn't have to go through all the EFI song and dance every time. Awesome idea, actually. It was made from a 79-80 Nikki 12A manifold with an S4 NA flange welded on. The port runners were a total nightmare of missmatchedness. peejay would have loved it.

The other manifold was originally a 6 port 12A that someone managed to weld a GSL-SE flange (actually an RE-SI) onto and he did port match the runners. This was used for a number of years on an RE-SI engine in a friend's REPU. Then I stuck it on an S4 NA in another friend's REPU after testing it in my REPU first. It had plenty of driveability and even torque in my truck but seemed to lose a lot in its current truck. Must be the exhaust.

I'd sell you one of my modded Nikki manifolds but they're both in use. Maybe if you can wait a month one might be available - the one peejay would like. Just a note it has a bit of a crack at the edge of the flange so will need some repair work. Good enough for test running purposes but you'd want it fixed for anything beyond that.

hmmmm.. i could cut off the flange from the LIM on the 6 port and weld it to one of my 12a nikki manifolds... how mis matched were the port runners? was there any helping them at all or are they just that far off? I have never had a 13b to play with, but ive had a bunch of 12a's.

thanks for the help bud.

Perhaps an adapter to put a 13B 4 port to a six port engine like this would help.

Make one The pic of the paper and gaskets there shows what you are dealing with bolt pattern wise.

Not yet, still finishing up wiring for the megasquirt and modding the fb tank for 2nd gen pickup/slosh cup.

It would only be a few more steps and some cleanup to make the block side 6pt and the intake side 4pt. For the non-diy type, I have seen holley 6pt intakes from RB and other sources with a cute little adapter on top to bolt on a nikki.
