s3 6 port converted to s4 EFI
right now ive got a gsl-se engine in my gsl, its weber'd and ive got a hook up for literally EVERYTHING to convert it to s4 efi, im talking everything...
my questions are. i know that the s4 ecu incorperates into the dashboard controls etc.. what im wanting to to is strip the harness so only the wires necessary to run the engine are there, simplifying my conversion
i know hooking the ecu and pressure sensors wont be hard
basically i will need power to the ecu, durring cranking and constant after ignition.
anyone perform this swap or a complete s4 swap for that matter.
help is greatly appriceated

Forget stripping the FC dash harness, thatsway more work than just making a new left side harness to power the ECU,CAS,coils and fuel pump.
Youll only need about 10-15 wires to make it work. The 3rd gang plug on the ECU has about 25 wires on it,but only about half of them are needed for proper EFI function. The rest can be de-pined and forgotten. They go to things like the AC relay,PS relay, milage sensor, shift up light, ect. The ones youll need are for the CAS signal,coils/ignitors,fuel pump relay and ECU power up.Use the factory service manual for exact flow charts and diagrams or just match up the colors of the wires from the gang plug and those components.
TeamFC site has the S4 and S5 factory service manuals on-line.....
