Question RXTuner mag...so what do you think?

Just subscribed for a year and just got my first issue and while I appreciate (!!) the effort and realize its a bit of a work-in-progress, I guess I would have to say I am disappointed in the coverage of the issue. Mostly RX8 and 3rd Gen 7s with a token aussie FB thrown in. If the mag is going after the 3rd Gen /RX8 crowd I think they will be drowned out by the mass of "Jap Street Tuner" mags that seem to feature these same models. Plus, at least for the moment, the RX8 crowd has got to be pretty small?? And weren't there only some 5000 3rd Gens sold in the US? Put that against the, what? 280,000 1st Gens and Lord-knows how many 2nd Gens sold here? OK, so a goodly number of these cars have gone to the Big Scrap Yard in the Sky, but still, I would think there would be a pretty big audience! Are we 1st Gen-ers seen as a bunch of teenagers driving $500 beaters? (I'm 49 myself, and no offense intended to those with $500 RX7s!! - or teens driving any RX7. I should have been so lucky then!! Well, I did have this R100, but I digress...).
I believe some of the editors/creators of the mag are forum members, so they must have some sense of this community...?? Anyway, I don't want a bitch-fest here, but I would certainly encourage them to pursue topics and features relevant to a broader base of RX7 owners.
Thoughts anyone??

As a "Rotary nut" from WAY back, I just think it's damn cool that we actually have a "Rotary centric magazine" at all.

It's my understanding that the next issue is titled "old school" or something like that with coverage of spec-7 racing. So that should be interesting. I also firmly believe that we, the 1st gen crowd, can make an effect on the content of RXtuner. Any 1st gen'r armed with a good story and high res pics is free to submit their story to RXtuner. They WILL publish it if it's good enough.

Actually I thought the Rx-7 sales for the '93-95 models was closer to 10,000 units sold in the United States. And how many are those are left from racing, accidents and engine fires?

It is call Rx Tuner magazine, so it be written around all Rotary engine powered cars, from the 1st Mazda Cosmo to the latest Rx-8.

Racing coverage is key to Mazda success, because they never pulled out of it like other car companies. This ranges from AutoX, circle track and to the longest enduro races.

I believe it can be a strugle for awhile, especially with the fact that the internet has done some much already with Rx cars.

One thing we all like is history, maybe profile each model of Rotary engine car manufactured per issue, and don't for get the Rx-500. Although on 2 were made, where are they now?

Guys keep up the good work, answer your email, and provide a place on your web site to send content and letters to the editors.

BTW club members encourage you Rx support garages, and parts suppliers to advertise in the magazine.

Well, they should take a trip down here to south florida, all they're gonna find are 1st and 2nd gens done right, everyone down here is too cheap for third gens. Too many puerto ricans and dominicans messing with them all day here, as a matter of fact, I'm gonna swing this over to my friend carlito to see if they future his bridge ported high compression turbo 13b FC.

I think its great that they have a mag about rotoaries finally. I'm only 16 and have had my seven for a few months now, but I have fallen in love with the rotoray engine. I hope that they continue with what their doing, even if it is a bit skimpy on the 1st gens.
