"RX7" Rear Taillight Center Garnish

Im not a big mazda guy, but i was walking through my girlfriends grandpas junkyard and hes got 2 FB's. One of them Has a center section between the rear tailights that says "RX7" in black letters. It looks OEM, and i cant seem to find any pictures of it on any forums or anything. The panel doesnt have the 2 lines going through it horizontally like iv seen on all the others, its just a flat panel, that says rx7. Obviously its not a sticker or anything, looks completely OEM. If someone could fill me in on this, its worth, and rarity, please do. Thx

Dave, this is a RX7 CLUB. It is for people that either own rx7's or have an interest in them.
Not for pedaling your goods. Not to be rude but i am personally tired of people coming on this club to post classifieds and have no interest in the club. I would recommned that you put your
goods on ebay under rx7 parts and see what someone is willing to pay for them.

You would be wrong ... there was infact a red center piece with RX7 lettering in the middle. It actually goes for quite a bit on ebay because of how rare it is considering the part is in good condition that is.

If I was peddling my goods I would have posted in the classifieds section.

Although I am not an RX7 owner, I am involved in the overall "scene" they are included in. I own two S13s and have a couple buddies with RX7s. Please do not assume that I have no interest in RX7s or "the club." Also, I am not just some joe bob that was strolling through a junkyard looking for parts that I think might be rare.

I was looking for information that apparently only lwnslw (edit: and dj) could allude to. There was not any need for flaming.

well Dave, the first mistake that you made was starting you thread with,"I'm not a big Mazda guy". Then i read your profile and it says nissian as a car, then you are inquiring about the worth of a part. It all points to someone just trying to see how much you can get for your rx7 part. And if you have buddies with rx7's then you could of asked them about it or are you just trying to sell it those buddies for as much as you can get. Dave, if i was flaming you, you would know it. Like i said before there are TOO many new people coming on and alot of scam's related to selling. So if i don't sound like i care what your situation is, it's because i don't. I am looking out for my fellow RX7 club members.

Umm yah that is the reason I frequent NoPistons, you guys just reamed some guy for asking about a 1st gen IN a 1st gen section.

Good find Dave, looks pretty rare.

If you are refeering to Dave. He is not a rx7 enthusiast or owner of one. If you want non-rx7 people cluttering up our forum then you better relook at your priorities. I am sick of the people that come on this forum and wind up pulling scams to sell parts. Like i stated, he said he has a couple of buddies that own rx7's, have them inquire.

I did ask my buddies, they are in to FC's they didnt know. Geez. Even if i am just trying to make some cash on it. Would you rather me just leave it rot in a junkyard. Apparently its a rather rare part, like i figured. So i thought I would check. Im sure there are people after things like that. So why not help myself out while helping others out. But its cool. Ill just let it rot in the junkyard, along with 2 other complete FB parts cars. Im gettin some pretty bad 1st impressions of the RX7 community. Nopistons.com is flaming cause they think the center peice is something homeade that i through together. lmao

"OMFG The forum, the forum...Protect the forum from n00bz peddling g00dz!!!

Is it yer fellow members you're concerned about...really?
Sorry, but I believe in "natural selection", even in the intellectual sense, so if some dumb **** here falls victim to a scam of gargantuan proportions, like this fellow with the rare tail piece is so obviously trying to pull here , then the **** needs to learn the lesson so that maybe next time he'll know better...Still be a "****", but just a smarter ****, that's all.

...Or is it "Da Bandwidtz, yo!" you're all so concerned with? Some of you here have already well exceeded the "maximum wasted bandwidth allotment for one *******" by a thousand times!

The forum's gone in the ******* when a guest can't inquire about an Rx-7 part without getting cyber-skull fucked.
What the hell kind of auto enthusiasts are you guys?

doc, you were DEAD WRONG, and you owe this guy an apology! You completely jumped the gun, and in your zeal to be the self-designated forum "bad-cop", you've made a dick of yerself.
Directfreak, I'm really disappointed. Are you just coming to yer buddies rescue here, because I just can't figure on you being that much of a jerk.

-Anybody else? Did I leave anyone out, cause I dunwanna get accused of playing favorites here, ya know.

I am tired of for sale posts in the tech section but his post is really not a for sale. He is asking what this part is.

That panel is an older aftermarket part that is no longer made. They are some what desirable and will fetch $100 ish on ebay.

Welcome to the forum, sorry about the harsh first thread.

Sterling your right. I could of approached this in a more professional manner. Sorry emotions got the best of me yesterday, had a shitty day.
Dave, my apologies for my harshness toward your inquiry. It is not a reflection of what our club is all about. We do have alot of scamming unfortuneately with people coming on and selling things then ripping people off. That is one thing that i have no tolerance for.
Again sorry for coming down so hard on you. you wound up being my whipping post yesterday.
This is for anyone else reading this thread, my apologies for flying off the handle and mis representing our club.

Dave, it might look like one of these. The book i have is older then most of the forum members. It's from 82. The picture of the one bu it's self is one that i have. They used to also supply them with lighting kits.
