What's up with removing the AC components? I mean the car already weighs 2200 lbs right, how much could you possibly save? Isn't disconnecting the belt that drives the compresser suffice? I mean if its a dedicated race car I could see. Why is everyone removing the AC?

Is it because it's not CFC Free compatable?

Sorry if this is a Noobee question but I guess I'm just mad because the previous owner ripped mine out and I would like to have it back.

Why? Cost? You can download the acrobat reader for free. The full program, that allows you to write .pdf files, is the one that costs an arm and a leg.

www.adobe.com, I think.

yeah i know. the reason i am removing the AC is simply because it doesn't work and is taking up room and making my engine ugly. the belt is already disconnected. we took it out when we replaced my water pump after it broke. mine's not a dedicated race car, but who knows, maybe i could make mine into a showcar. its in beautiful condition!

if you remove the entire AC system it will save you about 40 pounds of dead weight. Make the engine easier to work on. changing plugs are a snap.
